Set Your Mind And Heart On God!

"Now set your mind and heart to seek the Lord your God " ( I Chronicles 22:19, AMP ).

We all have opportunities to lose our joy and get discouraged trying to endure life. But God never intended for us to just endure life, He created us to enjoy life. And whether you realize it or not, you prepare for either victory or defeat at the start of every day...you have to choose to set your mind in the right direction. You may feel discouraged. You may be thinking, “I don’t want to go to work today.” “I don’t want to deal with these children.” “I’ve got so many problems.” However, if you dwell on those negative thoughts, then you are preparing for a lousy day. Instead, turn it around and say, This is going to be a great day. Something good is going to happen to me. God has favor in my future and I’m expecting new opportunities. The Scripture also says, “Set your mind and keep it set on the higher things.” This tells us that we have to be proactive. We have to stay on the offensive. When you get up in the morning, have the attitude that David did in the Psalms and say, “This is another day the Lord has made! No matter how I feel, no matter what the economy looks like, no matter what the medical report says, I am choosing to rejoice. I am choosing to be happy this day.” You know what you’re really saying? You’re saying, “I’m not going to let other people steal my joy today. I’m not going to let disappointments and setbacks discourage me. I’m not going to focus on my problems and my mistakes. I’m making up my mind to embrace everything the Lord has in store for me!” When you take on this attitude, you are preparing for victory, increase, and restoration! Having an attitude of faith allows God to show up and show out in unusual ways. It opens the door for Him to work in your life and pour out His blessing on you! Be Encouraged...God has a plan for YOU!....plans to prosper you...plans to give you hope and a future.

I Have A New Cell Number!

After 10 years with the same cell number, I now have a new one. Send me a message to my comment area for the new one. Thanks and I look forward to hearing from all of my family and friends! LET'S STAY CONNECTED!

It's Been Decided - The Rockets Are Our Next Victims

The Houston Rockets closed out their series tonight beating the Portland Trailblazers 4-2. I don't know if this is a good thing for their ball club or a bad one because the Los Angeles Lakers are next in the second round of the Western Conference Playoffs. I really like our chances with them. We beat them this season 4-0 with Yao Ming playing in three of those matchups. Though they match up well with us, out front court usually get the job done for us. Look for Kobe, Fisher, Brown and Farmar to have a big series. Farmar will get more playing time this series due to the Rockets small guard lineup. Shannon Brown's big body matched up well with Derron Williams in the last series. It all begins this weekend and I can't wait. Come on.......I gotta say it.............LAAAAKKKKKKEEERRRRRRSSSSS!!!!!

A Small Perspective On Prayer

While praying, we praise our God, offer thanks unto our God, and request petitions from our God. Yet the greatest reward in prayer is actually, TALKING WITH THE FATHER! What a priviledge it is to carry.....everything to God in prayer! Philippians 4:6-7

The Lakers Defeat The Jazz In The First Round

Yesterday, the Los Angeles Lakers defeated the Utah Jazz in the first round of the Western Conference NBA Playoffs. They now wait to play the winner of the Houston - Portland series. They gave up a 22 point lead but managed to hold out for the win. Four wins down and twelve more to go. Phil Jackson stated that they will spend this off time healing injuries and preparing for the next round. Get ready! Only a championship will suffice for last year's disappointment.

You Don't Look Like, What You've Been Through!

I was reading a passage of scripture recently that blessed me with revelation. The revelation was a pictorial of where God currently have me in life. The last 18 months have been a very challenging and difficult time for me. My entire life took a "Good Shakin", for the good. Problem is, I just realized that the shakin would ultimately lead me into a place with God that I wasn't prior to the shakin. Transition would be the best way to describe what's been happening around me. While conversating with a friend, I realized how good God had been to me. Favor, grace and mercy is what has been extended to me in a wonderful way. I am simply a product of Grace. I'm reminded of when the three Hebrew men came out of the fiery furnace, the text says that "they was not harmed, not one hair of their skin was even scorched and neither did they even smell like smoke". Wow, they definitely didn't look like what they had been through. I guess the whole reason of me expressing this blog was to encourage my readers to not get caught focusing on what we're going through, however, let's focus on the mercy, grace and favor of our God. Don't watch the storm, watch the storm stopper. Be blessed.............

Game #6 is a must win! ~ LAKERS......

All true Laker fans are requested to believe for the "Fellas" today. We have believed all season, thus there is no reason not to believe now. Let's put our confidence behind the "Fellas" and cheer them on. It will be a hard uphill battle being in "BEAN TOWN", however, we are made of steel and is up for the challenge. The worst thing Boston can do, will be to not win tonight. They don't want to see us in a Game 7. Remember, let the record show that the TRUE LAKER FANS BELIEVE until the end.

BELIEVE ~ BELIEVE ~ BELIEVE ~ BELIEVE ~ BELIEVE ~ BELIEVE ~ BELIEVE
