My visit to New Philadelphia Baptist Church
On yesterday afternoon, I attended the 13th Church Anniversary of New Philadelphia Baptist Church where my friend and brother Elder Eugene O. Bryant is the Senior Pastor. The service was really warm and the fellowship was hospitable. As always, I enjoy visiting this congregation. I had the priviledge of serving in their Winter Revival this year and the relationship with their pastor has strengthened since that time. Elder Bryant is a gracious person. He completely serves as a great steward of God and his assignment. This ministry orginated from the historical Cornerstone Institutional Baptist Church where the king himself served as pastor, Rev. James Cleveland. Elder Bryant served as the assistant pastor for over 20 years and became the pastor after the passing of Rev. Cleveland. The special guests for the afternoon were the Tabernacle of Praise Baptist Church, Rev. Roderick Walker and the Praises of Zion Baptist Church, Rev. Joe B. Hardwick. Pastor Hardwick served as the keynote speaker. Pastor Hardwick preached about "Salvaging The Baptist Church". There was a wonderful repass for the ministers and wives afterwards that was delicious. My New Philadelphia experience was GREAT! Let's continue in prayer for this pastor and ministry. Happy Birthday New Philadelphia!!!
